Data gathering is the first step of a project and this is the day when we start learning how to gather data and turn it into insights. The data gathered for the result is then analyzed and turned into insights that are used as consideration to create our solution in the next phase. In our 4D framework, this phase is the Discovery phase.A strategist has to be able to know various ways and methods to collect data, and then have a strong analytical skill to analyze the data and draw meaningful insights and conclusions from it.

Data Analysis
Data analysis is the process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions and supporting decision making. There are four main types of data analysis : predictive, prescriptive, diagnostic and descriptive. After analyzing, then visualizing data is started. Data visualization itself is the representation of data through use of common graphics, such as charts, plots, infographics, and even animations. These visual displays of information communicate complex data relationships and data driven insights in a way that is easy to understand.
